SKILL EXCHANGE
As an ongoing dedication to assisting victims of abuse and reintegrating them back into society, United Hope offers a skill exchange program. The skill exchange program offers skill-building programming to victims that seek to enhance their lives and inform their future both during and after their residency at the shelter. Skill exchange workshops are focused on skills such as cooking, food safety, nutrition, sexual health, budgeting, home repair, job readiness skills, and more. The program also helps women cope with stress by focusing on self-esteem. The skill exchange coach offers one-on-one consultation responding to each individual’s specific needs and challenges. The skill exchange program focuses on problems solving and connects clients to valuable community resources.
